Server Stats Bot is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By using the Bot, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Data We Collect
We only collect data when analytics is enabled by a server administrator.
Server-Level Data
- Server ID - Discord's unique identifier for your server
- Channel IDs - Identifiers for tracked channels
- Daily join/leave counts - Aggregate numbers only
- Peak voice users - Maximum concurrent voice users per day
- Server statistics - Member count, boost count, role count
- Role membership counts - Members in admin-configured tracked roles
User-Level Data
- User ID - Discord's numeric identifier (not username)
- Message counts - Messages sent per day per channel
- Attachment counts - Messages containing attachments
- Reaction counts - Reactions added and received
What We DO NOT Collect
- Message content or text
- Usernames, display names, or discriminators
- Profile pictures or avatars
- Direct messages or private channels
- Email addresses or personal contact info
- IP addresses or device information
- Attachment files or media content
How We Use Your Data
Collected data is used exclusively for:
- Generating analytics - Providing server admins with activity insights
- Creating statistics reports - Visual charts via secure links
- Trend analysis - Showing activity patterns over time
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.
Data Retention
- Daily statistics - Aggregated at midnight UTC into permanent storage
- Generated reports - Cached for 7 days, then deleted
- Server configuration - Retained until analytics disabled or Bot removed
Historical data is stored indefinitely for trend analysis. You may request deletion at any time.
Data Security
- Data stored in secure MongoDB databases with TLS encryption
- Statistics reports use unique hash tokens for access control
- No public API exposes raw user data
- Database access restricted to authorized personnel only
Your Rights & Choices
Opt-Out of Personal Tracking
Use /privacy tracking:off to opt out at any time. When opted out:
- Your messages will not be counted in user statistics
- Your reactions will not be tracked
- Your User ID is stored locally to maintain your preference
- Server-level aggregates may still include your activity anonymously
Use /privacy tracking:on to re-enable tracking.
Server Administrator Controls
- Enable or disable analytics via
/setup
- Exclude specific channels from tracking
- Exclude entire categories from tracking
- Choose which roles to monitor
Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data, join our Support Server and contact staff. Requests processed within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The Bot follows Discord's Terms of Service requiring users to be 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
